Not many cafes/tea rooms are open in Ripon on a Monday. This is how I came to eat at Dishes as it is one of only a few that are. Not a high quality establishment, with tired decor and facilities, and food of poor quality. I had a sausage sandwich and a cappucino. The sausages were of the cheap tasteless type, the bread was dry and the coffee weak yet at the same time bitter. The only positive point was I was sitting by the window and I did enjoy 'people watching' whilst I was there. If you are ever in Ripon on a Monday I recommend the March Hare Cafe which is far nicer.
