We were due to stay at this hotel on our way back to Scotland from France and spend a few days in London. We arrived after a long day and wanted to relax. But as soon as we saw the room we immediately checked out and continued our journey home. Everything about this hotels is old (not 'traditional' as advertised). Every piece of furniture in the room was stained and/or broken. The tea/coffee facilities include a kettle, tea and coffee sachets and polystyrene cups. The bed covers looked like they'd been new in the 70's (this isn't and exaggeration) and the television looked like it was the first attempt of John Logie Baird. The receptionist checked us in while having a conversation with his friend on the phone and simply gave us the key and left us to get on with it. When we left after 20 minutes he didn't ask any questions but looked happy that we weren't complaining to him. I think this must happen to him a lot. This is a terrible hotel which I wouldn't recommend. I've stayed in cheaper and more comfortable Youth hostels than this place. One to be avoided.
