Terrible. Chaotic and unresponsive on the telephone and unreliable in the actuality. We advanced booked two cars for delivery and pick up. Quotes were given and accepted. We emailed names of customers concerned, all addresses, postcodes, telephone numbers ,timings and quoted prices to the office two days in advance. Nothing was left to chance. We then tried to get written confirmation by email. This took two days. It did eventually arrive. On the evening, one taxi driver was okay but charged more than the quote. The other driver arrived in a car that smelt of vomit with a sticky back seat. The standard of driving was a little alarming (too fast)and the driver swore (to himself) from time to time. On arrival, he tried to demand a price which was twice what we had been quoted. He became rather aggressive when shown the written quote. The return journey was an even worse experience. We phoned the office as arranged half an hour before the pick up. We were told that two drivers were on their way. One hour later, nobody had arrived. Attempts to call the office were not very successful. The line was engaged for most of the time and when we did get through, nobody seemed to have any idea what was going on. Somewhat surprisingly, we did receive a number of texts. One saying that the car had arrived at an address that we knew nothing about in a completely different location from the one at which we were waiting, one to say cars had been cancelled (no reason given). Eventually one car did arrive - an hour and a half later. The driver was charming and apologetic but could not agree to return to pick up the other party without sanction from the office. The office was not contactable. A second car eventually arrived to collect these passengers after 2 hours. All this was after midnight and involved elderly passengers. We will never use Road Runners again.

Absolutely terrible service (Redhill). I had waited on the driveway for the cab to arrive and after 15 minutes past the agreed pick up time I called them only to be told they had cancelled the booking and no reason was given as they didnt know why!!! I then later tried using the same service and once again after 15 minutes called them only to be told the cab would not be there for another 40 minutes - nearly an hour after the agreed collection time. Terrible terrible service and complaints fall on deaf ears. Avoid like the plague - there are other taxi options in the area.

I have in my time used many a taxi firm , but i really need to speak about road Runners Redhill especially to those who have given up hope of good customer service by any taxi firm. I recently fell out with another local operator(wont mention who) so i scoured the local directory where i came upon R R redhill, did you know that you are not only able to pay your intended journey by internet but you can book your cab in several ways. the taxi did not only turn up on time but i received a call on my mobile saying the car was outside(no more horn tooting), I actually made a journey on time with a pleasant driver and I was to pay online. I have been using RoadRunners for the last 10 years where i have never had a problem until my recent visit. The driver in question tried to overcharge me not knowing that i was a regular and became rude when questioned about the price. Not letting one bad apple overshadow my long term relationship I contacted the MD who was more than happy to listem to my complaint. Not onl only did i receive a refund of the overcharge but the driver in question also gave me a full refund of the cost of the journey. How many taxi companies where you live would have gone to these lengths??? Mrs Flamingo Redhill, Surrey.

I have used road runners a number of times. Some of the drivers are pleasent (not all) & the office operators are also friendly. The one problem is that you can not rely on them to get you where you need to be on time as they dont take traffic into consideration & they dont bother giving you a courtesy call to let you know it will be late. Other than that there fine
