Reviews of Cliftonville Hotel, Cromer

Best rates for a Local Hotel

The Cliftonville Hotel is situated along the seafront of Cromer and we were fortunate to have a room with a seaview. However, although the room was clean and well maintained, it was small and lacked storage space if you were planning on staying more than a few days. The en-suite bathroom again lacked storage and it was not obvious where to hang bath towels. The macerator toilet was very noisey and the small shower took a long while to drain the water away due to the Grade 2 listed plumbing. The wash basin was also very low and it was not a bathroom for anybody overweight. The breakfast is served in the bistro with a choice of cereals and fresh fruit. There was a selection of concentrated fruit juices and herbal teas. We did not have an evening meal in the hotel as we ate in local restaurants. I do not consider the hotel to be suitable for young children and felt that they took advantage of the lack of accommodation in the vicinity with the prices they charged for bed and breakfast.

Had a very uncomfortable night here - bed lumpy and hard, chairs covered in greas stained material, carpets grubby, mould in shower. Could not recommend the hotel to anyone I'm afraid. The receptionist told me we were not the only customers who were unhappy with their stay. Not good value for money.
