A hotel set in a stunning location with good food but spoilt by a poor tired bedroom which was dirty and in bad need of a "makeover" - wallpaper hanging off the ceiling in the bathroom and generally filthy We stay regularly at different hotels and this ranks as expensive and poor value for money Such a real shame as the building is beautiful Come on English Rose get your act together - don't you inspect your hotels on a regular basis?

Lovely location but stay was completely spoilt by very small dirty bedroom, even worse was the dirty bathroom which in addition had a strong smell of damp/mould with pealing paint and wall paper. The breakfast was freezer shop standard. For £110 per night for a "double room" we will not be returning and would not recomend this hotel to anyone else.

Lovely quiet Hotel, I visited for 2 nights, bedrooms comfortable but some a little tired and need updating, public rooms very pleasant. Staff excellent as is food. I would recommend a visit.
