Not been to Browns for a long time and decided to try it out again for my wifes birthday lunch. 5 courses for £30. Arrived and were seeted at 1pm . Resturant has pleasant outlook of river Severn but my wifes view was of a ladder proped up aginst the wall and it was not a decorative feature but one left from some diy.The resturant very quiet indeed no music at all so would appeal to some people but we felt we had to whispher as not to disturb other diners. It was quite cold in the place and my wife was shivering the radiator next to us was not on.I chose the wine but it was not available as run out and second choise was also.A waitress came to take our order an hour later.Food was good and well presented but certainly not the best i have eaten.Very slow service indeed so make sure you have plenty of time . Advertised (and paid)as 5 courses but cheese did not appear or offered .Left at 4.20 .Unfriendly staff, slow service, lacks atmosphere certainly not the Browns experience that i remember which is a shame as it is a lovely restaurant
