Very disappointed on visiting Chelmsford market on Tuesday 15/03/11 the old market under the car park is no longer used and there was only a dozen of market stalls trading outside. Lucky I did not have to travel far.

I emigrated to Australia 30odd years ago. I never miss a chance to return as my family still live there.It is a beautiful town surrounded by fantastic scenery.Very close to the heart of London, only 30mins by rail.You are never far from every type of entainment.Chelmsford also offers a good choice.The commute to London means accomodation is more within peoples reach if they chose to work in London.The only gripe I have is the last time I visited Chelmsford, I found it few dirty, Papers blowing everywhere & cigarette butts & take away container thrown on the ground. If the council got into gear they could make it a fantastic place to live work & visit. But I still come back for more
