for Night Sky & Planetarium Shows as your favourite British event.

December brings one of the best meteor showers of the year, the Geminids. These meteors may be seen between the 7th and 16th of December but the peak of the shower is reached on 13th December at 7pm. These meteors are believed to originate from 3200 Phaethon which may be an extinct comet. More than 100 meteors per hour may be seen at maximum.

Mills Observatory will be open every day and admission is free.

Talks being given about the December sky and the Planetarium Show can be booked in advance as places for each show are limited.
Admission is £1 for adults and 50p for children.
Please phone 01382 435967 to book.
