Darkest Muncaster During Halloween week and Christmas at the Castle

Darkest Muncaster Illuminations transform the gardens after dark for a magical experience of light and sound. Special lights pick out the trees in an array of different colours. Music and sound effects tingle the senses. Plus a wonderful sound and light show set to music across the castle walls! Giant candles add to the atmosphere for a purely magical experience. This is themed for different times of the year. A truly spooky persona rules during Halloween week. Witches and ghouls, wolf howls and screams are the theme! During Christmas at the Castle a more gentle and serene atmosphere returns. Café and gift shop open until 7pm, for that all important souvenir or hot chocolate with a dash of rum.

Contrariwise, if it was so, it might be; and if it were so, it would be; but as it isn't, it ain't. That's logic. - Lewis Carroll
