The National Day of the Isle of Man, usually occurring on 5 July, where a gathering is held at Tynwald Hill. Dating back to Viking times, the Tynwald preserves the Old Norse custom of publicly announcing all new law, in both Manx and English.
There is also a fair on St John's Green with music, dancing and entertainment.
