Born 1922. Died 1985 - Scottish footballer and manager.

First managerial position with Dunfermline Athletic. Took over at Glasgow Celtic in 1965. Won nine consecutive championships, the League five times, European Cup and a number of Scottish cups. Became national manager, Scotland qualifying for World Cup Finals in Spain in 1982. Died at an international against Wales at Cardiff.
