Born 1939 - English dancer.

Appeared as soloist for the first time in Swan Lake in 1956. Formed famous partnership with Anthony Dowell. Knee injury forced early retirement in 1976 but danced again five years later. President of the Royal Academy of Dancing in 1991. Made DBE in 1996.
