Wrote novels and plays as a child. Collection of poems Poems of West and East (1917) were her first publication. Followed by a novel Heritage (1919) and Orchard and Vineyard (1921). Passenger to Teheran (1926) records her time in Persia. Keen gardener at her home in Sissinghurst, Kent. Wrote a weekly gardening column.
