English singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.

Found fame in the late 60s with his first band the Spencer Davis Group with the distinctive sound of his tenor voice and the hammond organ. Later bands were Traffic and Blind Faith and a successful solo career. Winwood has won numerous Grammy Awards in the US.
