Born Melanie Jayne Chisholm. Best known as a member of the girl group, The Spice Girls. Nicknamed Sporty Spice. Previously studied for a Diploma course in dance, singing, drama and musical theatre. Has since released four albums as a solo artist. Nominated for a BRIT and ECHO Awards. Holds the record for most UK number one singles by a female co-writer. Has achieved a UK number one as part of a quintet, quartet, duo and solo artist.
