- Favourite Briton.

Born in Barnes, London
Born on 22nd of August 1847
Died on 27th of November 1922

Born into an artistic family, and spending her childhood more in Italy (along with France and Switzerland) than England, she was cultured and interested in ideas, writing the poetry for which she is now chiefly remembered. Marriage to an editor of magazines and periodicals saw her involved in such work; she also supported the suffragette cause, and was an anti-imperialist.

Brit Quote:
Somebody said to me, 'But the Beatles were anti-materialistic.' That's a huge myth. John and I literally used to sit down and say, 'Now, let's write a swimming pool.' - Paul McCartney
