Lethaby was an architect whose greatest claims to fame were a founder of the Arts and Crafts Exhibition Society, and as one of the co-principals of the Central School of Arts and Crafts in London when it began life in 1896. Lethaby was also a mover in the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings.
