Wrote for Grandstand and was a racing journalist for Sporting Life before beginning his career in television in 1981. Known for his outspoken opinions and his manner of dress which includes a deerstalker hat, tweed jacket and enormous sideburns. Appeared as a contestant in the third series of Celebrity Big Brother. Other television appearances include Wife Swap, The Sharon Osbourne Show and Celebrity Poker Club.
