Educated at Cambridge. Entered television in 1961 hosting That Was The Week That Was (1962-63). Others shows include The Frost Report, Frost on Friday, The David Frost Show and Breakfast with Frost. Co-founder and presenter of TV-am (1983-92). Won Golden Rose of Montreux in 1967. Books include How to Live Under Labour (1964) and The World’s Shortest Books (1987). Knighted in 1993.
