Born 1935 - English footballer, elder brother of Bobby.

Elder brother of Bobby Charlton. Played for Leeds United from 1965-75. Played for England for five years. Manager of Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday, Newcastle United and Republic of Ireland. Retired from international football in 1966.
