Born 1932 - English artist, illustrator and teacher.

Studied at Downing College, Cambridge. Illustrated a wide range of children’s authors including Roald Dahl, Joan Aiken and Michael Rosen. His books include Mr Magnolia (1980) and Zagazoo (1998). Appointed Children’s Laureate in 1999.
