A much loved comic actor who first appeared on our screens in Not the Nine O’Clock News (1979-82), before starring as Edmund Blackadder in the Blackadder series which became one of the most successful BBC sitcoms (1983-89). Other major TV successes include the silent comedy series Mr Bean (1990-95), and The Thin Blue Line (1995-96). Film appearances include The Tall Guy (1989), Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), Bean (1997), Johnny English (2003) and Love Actually (2003).
