An award winning actress and singer, her most notable roles in film being Mary Poppins (1964), and Maria in the Sound of Music (1965). Several long running Broadway musicals include My Fair Lady (1956) and Camelot (1960). Other films include S.O.B. (1981) and Victor/Victoria (1982), and she was made DBE in 2000.
