Events in Rozel Bay | 10 Places to Stay
Rozel Bay has been described as one of the most picturesque areas of Jersey. It lies in the north eastern corner of the Island and is only five miles from St Helier. Rozel is a beautiful wooded valley with a quaint beach at Rozel Bay. The bay is primarily used for fishing, but makes a great spot for a day out. Anglers will certainly appreciate the pier but there are also cafés, restaurants, tea rooms and pubs to enjoy.
Close by is The Durrell Wildlife Preservation Trust and Zoo, which is set at Les Augrès Manor. The zoo houses many rare and endangered species, attracting over 150,000 visitors each year. Rozel Bay is also only three miles away from the Royal Jersey Golf Course. Fishing, water skiing, sailing, riding and excursions to the other Islands and the coast of France are all available.
Accommodation can be found in the form of the Chateau La Chaire, a Victorian Chateau set in a charming woodland location; now a Hotel that has won acclaim from both the AA and the RAC. Also on offer is the Beau Couperon Hotel. Formerly a Napoleonic fortress, it is now renowned for its excellent restaurant, peaceful atmosphere and friendly service.
