Cowbridge is a lovely little town in the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan. Although easily accessible, Cowbridge is a hidden gem as it has no rail link and tourists often bypass this area. Described as the Bond Street of Wales, High Street is a paradise for discerning shoppers. Everything is here, from haute-couture to eclectic furnishings (One shop is devoted solely to cat related merchandise so, if you need a present for a feline loving friend, head here.) Butterbean has wonderful toys & games and visit Halcyon Daze for things to soothe the spirit you can take all sorts of gentle courses here and also at barefoot studio which offers more energetic Nia or Nordic Hill walking classes. You will also be spoilt for choice when it comes to gourmet food - Farthings restaurant is well known and respected and their delicatessen is opposite to stock up on supplies for the journey home. You could stay longer at The Bear Hotel - an old coaching Inn with C12th origins. In the C18th, Napoleon’s soldiers were held in the Bear pit post their unsuccessful invasion. Opposite is the Old Hall with its charming walled physic garden - a perfect spot.
