Fionnphort is a picturesque fishing village nestling on the south western peninsular of the Isle Of Mull, in Scotland, home to over seventy people. The beautiful location offers a warm welcome wrapped up in a dramatic scenery of Lochs, white sandy beaches, and a Port where boats sail to the historical Isle Of Iona and Staffa. A visit to the Museum of St Columba shares the intriguing history dating back nearly a thousand years, then climb aboard for a short sea trip to Iona, and the Abbey, this evocative place of Pilgrimage has seen forty eight Scottish Kings buried here. A stroll along the shore will glimpse the fishing fleet unloading their catch of lobsters and Crabs, or there is always the opportunity to dangle a line yourself and catch a Mackerel or Crab from the Pier. Why not choose one of the many scenic paths which unveil glorious views and memorable wildlife from Eagles, Dolphins, Otters, Seals and Sharks. For a longer expedition there is always majestic Ben More that rises more than three thousand feet. For brave hearts take a camera on a fascinating trip to Fingal’s Cave for unforgettable memories, or Lunga on the Treshnish Isles for the fabulous sight of Puffins.
