Exciting Up and Coming Horseracing Events in the UK

This year has already been an exciting one for fans of sports, with a range of thrilling events having taken place already. The remainder of the year promises to be just as exciting with everything from the thrill of Euro 2016 in France to the wide range of horseracing events on home soil. When it comes to horseracing there is plenty to look forward to for fans of the sport despite major events such as the Grand National and Cheltenham now over.

Events to look forward to

The racing action is set to continue over the course of this year, with a number of major races that are certain to draw in the crowds. Already, horses such as Our Thomas have proven themselves winners at events this year and many others who will also be running in the remainder of big races this year will undoubtedly surprise fans with their success. Fans will not only be heading to watch the races in person or on their TVs or mobile devices but many will also be keen to place bets on sites such as Coral where you can benefit from valuable horse racing tips, information and odds on the races.

One of the events that many fans will be looking forward to is the QIPCO Guineas Festival at Newmarket, which takes from 30th April to 1st May 2016. This exciting racing event is part of the British Championship Series and many of those that enjoy success on the Rowley Mile go onto to enjoy tremendous success at races such as Royal Ascot.

That brings us to one of the other hotly anticipated racing events for 2016, which is of course the famous and hugely popular Royal Ascot Races. This year’s event will take place from 14th June to 18th June and as always promises to be a thrilling and memorable one. This is a race where you will find everyone from racing fans to royalty, celebrities and plenty of people from the media. Here you can see the record-breaking jockey Ryan Moore return to the scene of his success last year as well as seeing whether New Bay manages to realise his ambitions in the Prince of Wales Stakes.

Ascot will also play host to the King George weekend this year, which takes place from 22nd July to 23rd July 2016. This is where you will be able to enjoy seeing some of the best jockeys and horses in the world. On the Friday, fans will be able to look forward to a competitive six race card, which includes the John Guest Brown Jack Stakes – a race that pays tribute to this legendary racer. The following day you can immerse yourself in the excitement of the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes as well as some great entertainment off the track.

These are just a few of the racing events that are still to come over the course of 2016, so fans of this sport can certainly look forward to a full and exciting itinerary.
