The Bear Inn is a relaxed and welcoming Freehouse Pub located in the picturesque country village of Beyton in Suffolk. The pub was completely refurbished in 2005 and has a contemporary feel without losing any of its character. We are open seven days a week and have a restaurant serving food from Friday evening through to Sunday afternoon. We serve traditional British food using quality locally sourced ingredients. The drinkers bar has an open fire in winter months, with comfortable leather sofa and chairs perfect for relaxing with the Sunday papers. The pub has an old fashioned bar skittles game as well as a selection of traditional board games to amuse you. The pub‚s relaxed atmosphere and friendly locals make it a welcoming place to enjoy a drink. We have a changing selection of Real Ales mainly from Suffolk & Norfolk. We are delighted to be included in The Good Beer Guide. The pub has a pretty secluded child friendly garden with seating and a small play area with climbing frame and swing. Beyton is a pretty village complete with village green and geese, situated 5 miles east of historic Bury St. Edmunds.
