The Yew Tree at Clifford Mesne is a welcoming retreat on the slopes of Mayhill, formerly a cider house it retains many of the old features and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly.
The daily specials complement the seasonal menus which include local favourites such as slow roast belly of Old Spot pork with caramelised celeriac and their famous rabbit and bacon pudding. Their free range
chickens provide eggs for the kitchen and many of the herbs, salads and vegetables and fruit are home grown.
Wines feature prominently at The Yew Tree as they import all their own; they are available for purchase from their in-house wine shop or can be enjoyed
with a meal at a very reasonable price!
