Tim and Helen Withers, previously of The George & Dragon, Rowde, Wiltshire, have bought this delightful Victorian Vicarage, built in 1880 and turned it into a small restaurant with rooms. They were at the George & Dragon for nearly 16 years, where they gained an enviable reputation for their unfussy, relaxed, honest approach to food and hospitality, with not only a loyal following but also numerous awards.

The three bedrooms are individually designed by Briony Cooper of Shrewsbury and bathrooms are luxuriously fitted out with Lefroy Brooks suites, under-floor heating, with guest amenities by Crabtree & Evelyn. The rooms have LCD flat screen televisions, hair dryers and bathrobes. Complimentary mineral water, sherry, afternoon and early morning tea are also available.
