Katerina's has an ideal position right next to the centre of beautiful Rothbury Village, in the heart of Northumberland's lovely hill country. Once part of a coaching inn, the building retains its quaint character, with exposed stone walls, as well as some beamed ceilings and original fireplaces.

It offers three luxurious double rooms, all en-suite and each with 4-poster beds, TV, tea/coffee making, hair driers, etc. It offers a wide variety of interesting and varied breakfast and (if required) dinner menus. Most importantly, it is run by Ian and Cath who have run a successful tea shop and Italian restaurant, so the food is really good and the welcome warm and genuine! For those who prefer to get out and about, the village's shops and pub/restaurants are just a couple of minutes away!

Rothbury is an ideal holiday centre, with lovely and safe walking and cycling routes all around in the Simonside and Cheviot Hills. It has an excellent golf course, as well as fishing, tennis and horse riding. For those wishing to "get away from it all", it's also a great place just to relax! If you want to see more, Hadrians Wall, Alnwick and the scenic Northumbrian coast and castles are all between 20 and 60 minutes drive - the Scots Border country is about an hour away and even Edinburgh is just over one and a half hours away! This is the driest part of England but, if it does rain, Newcastle and the Tyneside Metrocentre are 45 minutes' drive and well worth a visit. Finally, Cragside House and its amazing grounds are just outside the village.
