Henley-on-Thames is home to the famous Royal Regatta every summer for five days, but oarsmen and rowing enthusiasts can enjoy the new River and Rowing Museum all year-round in this quintessential English town. As you head north towards the ‘Dreaming Spires’ of Oxford, you enter Stonor Park, which has extensive and beautiful wildlife. The park has been home to Lord and Lady Camoys and the Stonor family for over 800 years, amassing an incredible collection of rare furniture, paintings, drawings, tapestries and sculptures from around the world. Nearby Windsor provides architecture in all shapes and sizes. Windsor Castle is the official residence of the Queen and has a seemingly endless collection of masterpieces by the likes of Rembrandt, Rubens, Holbein and Van Dyck. For the young at heart, Legoland offers a rainbow of delights, while nearby Reading is a shopper’s paradise.
