A 16th century former coaching inn, the hotel is situated on the village green in Castle Acre, a beautiful Norfolk village with a historic castle ruin and priory with pretty riverside walks. The Ostrich is a traditional village inn with pleasant comfortable rooms, excellent home-cooked food and well cared for real ales. Most of the rooms look out over the village green with the huge trees providing leafy shade on hot summer days. In the winter there are real fires to sit beside on comfy sofas and in the summer a large well kept garden to enjoy the sunshine.

The village is situated on the Peddars Way, making it an ideal stopping point for walkers on the old Roman road. It is also on the Easter pilgrimage route to Walsingham and Maundy. The coast is only 30 minutes drive away and the Royal Sandringham Estate only 15 minutes.
