The Rest And Welcome is a quaint old country Pub situated on the
outskirts of the beautiful village of Melbury Osmond, Dorset. Five minutes
away from Yeovil and twenty minutes from Dorchester on the main A37. Open 7
days a week for food and drink (home cooking, good wine and real ales) with
parking for 30 cars; two beer gardens and a skittle alley. Free wireless
internet access.
New owner Jill says 'Locals are coming back attracted by the new menu and
the specials board which changes daily. We serve locally sourced,
traditional home cooked food. Liver & Bacon followed by Apple Crumble is the
customers' favourite. The menu is accompanied by a wide range of beers and
wines.
The skittle alley supports two skittle leagues through the Winter season in
addition to other meetings held all year. Parties can use the alley free of
charge subject to availability. Darts team 'R.A.W.' play on Wednesday
evenings. Quiz night every other Sunday.
