This traditional hotel, in an idyllic setting, with spectacular views across the sound of Sleat to the Knoydart Hills, retains its old world charm giving each guest a truly genuine highland welcome from the moment you arrive. Hotel Eilean Iarmain is small and privately owned, situated on a sheltered bay in the south of Skye, with expansive views over the Sound of Sleat to the hills of Knoydart on the mainland.

Our policy has been to keep the old fashioned character of the hotel intact, in order to retain its Highland charm and old world atmosphere. Tartan carpets, a golden eagle and stag antlers adorn the hall.

People have been coming here for over a hundred years, drawn by a love for the landscape of this Hebridean island, its geology, botany, ornithology, history, culture and language. We are open all year, enabling visitors to experience Skye in all seasons.
