Windermere Steamboat Centre has a unique collection of Lake Windermere's nautical heritage in a spectacular and tranquil lakeside setting. Our premier all-weather attraction has a Tea Room, Shop, Model Boat Pond, Picnic Area with magnificent lake views, free car and coach parking, good facilities for the disabled.
School Groups/Coach Parties/Party Bookings are especially welcome. Group rate applies.
Guided Tours of the Centre are available every day.
'Swallow and Amazons' Exhibition will run for the whole season and is a must for Arthur Ransome enthusiasts, Guided tours of 'Esperance' (Ransome's inspiration for Captain Flint's Houseboat) subect to availability of the Guide. 'Mavis' and 'Coch-y-Bonddhu' also on display.
'Model Boats - You Can Do It!' Exhibition will also run for the whole season.
