Babington is one of those places you just want to get back to (although not normally at weekends as its normally reserved for members). A long tree lined drive gives way to a honey stone house that looks small at first at view but is in fact a warren of public rooms with some lovely bedrooms upstairs. Behind the building lie out-buildings full of more opulence with spa, pool (which is really cool) and fantastic grounds - big enough for solitude but not so big to get lost. Food is the standard soho house fayre. A miniscule church opposite the main reception area completes the picture. A true treat
