Attraction in Brixham
The Museum is housed in the town's old police station. It has a large,
unique, collection of artefacts assembled over the last 50 years, which will
give you a fascinating insight into the history of Brixham. Displays
include the maritime heritage with scale model boats, trawler fishing
heritage, reconstructions of an 18th century cottage, a Victorian parlour
and nursery, the original 1900s police cell, the Brixham branch line railway
1868-1963, Prince William of Orange, and newly set up exhibition about the
living quarters in the Berry Head Barracks, 18C. Plus Henry Francis Lyte
exhibition ("Abide With Me") who was the Vicar of Lower Brixham.
