The Red House Museum & Gardens (once a Georgian Workhouse) is the setting for outstanding displays of local social and natural history. Highlights include an interactive archaeology gallery, a display of Arthur Romney Green furniture (of the Arts & Crafts movement) in a 1930's room setting and a reconstruction of a local nineteenth century High St taxidermist. Special exhibitions of contemporary and traditional art and an ever-changing garden make every visit a new one.
