Walston Mansion Farmhouse was built in 1803, all around this wonderful farmhouse sourounded by Nature and Natural Beauty. The house offers comfortable accommodation with central heating throughout and a log fire in the guest lounge. Each room has: T.V + Video in all rooms and Tea / Coffee making facilities, there are games for the children and a room with a Four Poster Bed. The House is situated in the peaceful countryside close to the Scottish Borders, offering Bed and Breakfast Accommodation near the town of Biggar. Biggar itself is an ancient town situated on the A72 which links the Clyde Valley to Musselburgh. Situated among rich farmland, it’s a great place to come for shopping, if you’re looking for something different. The village's wide main street gives away its medieval past as a market town and shops include an award-winning grocer, a famous ice cream and chocolate shop, an award winning fish and chip shop and a good mix of book, toy and craft shops, bakeries and florists. Biggar also has a Visitor information centre which is open from Easter to October each year on the main street. Biggar lies close to Lanark, Peebles and the River Tweed as well as the Clyde and there are many scenic walks in the area, through the Biggar Country Path network.
