29th of June - St Peters Day, St Peters Day

29th of June is the 180th day of the year

St Peters Day:
It is somewhat ironic that Saints Peter and Paul share a feast day, given that though they are supposed to have worked together in Antioch it was also in that city that they came into dispute – not the first nor doubtless the last doctrinal argument in the Christian Church. The dispute was about converting non-Jews to Christianity. Peter was one of the original 12 apostles, remembered for his least glorious moment, denying Christ three times, and for supposedly being the first Bishop of Rome, thus Pope. Paul, trained as a Rabbi, was involved in persecuting those preaching the new faith until his conversion on the road to Damascus.
