7th of April - World Health Day

7th of April is the 97th day of the year

World Health Day:
Like World Water Day in March, World Health Day is used to highlight specific areas of concern around the globe. It was first marked in 1950, having been suggested during the 1948 gathering that eventually produced the World Health Organisation – the WHO. April 7th was chosen as that was when the WHO was founded. The themes of the day – health challenges faced around the world - in recent years have included the growing threat of drug resistance, the exclusion resulting from mental health problems, and polio eradication.
