I found this hostel on this site and almost ignored going because of not much said about Birmingham. I am glad I did, the best of the 30 or so hostels I have been to this summer. Very friendly staff, lots to do with movie theatre in the common room, with a bar, nintendo wi, playstation 3 and much more. I really liked the beds, I stayed in a POD dorm that was one of the best nights sleep I have had in a while. Not so sure about the area, not the nicest looking of places but was safe enough. The staff made this hostel, they went out of there way to help me with things to do for seven days. I took some daytrips and saw most of what Birmingham had to offer. The tourist information centre in this city are also great, between them and the backpackers you can find much to do there.
