just outside polegate (not very nice) lies the rather nice village of jevington. this pub hugs the road and offers standard fayre with a smile. best bit was the lovely quaint garden and the views across the meadows to a paddock with horse milling about. we were there on a misty day and so it was truly atmospheric but could image it being a great place to be for an afternoon on a sunny one. well kept ale - worth stopping!
