I stayed at the Royal Hotel with my partner for a long weekend and found our stay extremely enjoyable. The food and service was the best the we have recieved on our travels and I would thoroughly recommend to family and freinds. We found the rate was the cheapest in the area although you would not have guessed at all. Staff were freindly and assisted us with finding pir way around the city.

Was very disappointed with the hotel accommodation, was kept awake until the early hours of the morning with people shouting swearing outside and alot of noise from the bar below the hotel. The bed was totally uncomfortable and has caused myself and my partner to have bad backs, the floor constantly creaked. We did not stay for breakfast as this was the worst hotel we had stayed in and will not be returning. Also when we left the hotel there was no-one on the front desk so what would have happened if there was a fire I do not know, we will not be recommending to family and friends and we will also be notifying the tourist board of this. Very disappointed that this has cost us £65.00 for a most uncomfortable stay.We stayed in Room 106.
