Good Points: Freshly cooked breakfast Bad Points: When asking for a full breakfast but not wanting a sausage extra bacon was not served. A little tight we felt. General review: Satisfactory

The manager/chef tried to give us beef pretending it was lamb. my partner is a butcher, so we knew it was beef, it was the most atrocious lie. Instead of apologising, he was incredibly aggressive and shouted at us. The bread was frozen solid, the wine was warm instead of chilled and took half an hour to reach us. The manager was so unhelpful and confrontational that to save the argument continuing all night we paid for part of the meal - £80. It was a disastrous meal, meant to be a birthday celebration. The room was freezing, the bath was cracked in several places and as the shower head was broken and there was no way of hanging the shower head, I had to hold the broken shower head which meant I scalded myself on boiling hot water. But as the manager was so unapproachable, I didn't feel comfortable discussing these issues with him... What a shame. I hate giving bad reviews but this manager has ruined it. a thoroughly depressing weekend. We will never ever go back...
