This is not something I normally do but having stayed for four nights at Lyzzick Hall I feel I must congratulate all the staff and management on making our break so enjoyable. The staff were very attentive, efficient and friendly, the food was excellent and the setting superb. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a relaxing break in the Lake District. We will certainly make a return visit.

This was our first visit to the Lake District and we picked an absolute gem of a place to stay. I recommend it to anyone wanting a romantic, quiet time away. It is set within the mountains with spectacular views, great food, superb rooms, and excellent staff. Alfredo, the manager is an absolute dime in a dozen and so are his staff.

I hesitate to write this review as it is hard enough to get a booking at Lyzzick Hall although they put out very little publicity. This is because the place is a gem. The rooms are comfy if a little old fashioned. The food is fabulous - country house style eg plenty of game. Mine hosts and their staff are very welcoming and professional. The location is one of the best in the Lakes with fantastic views especially from the indoor pool/jacuzzi/sauna area.It is a haven of peace with no traffic noise and a respectable clientele. It is excellent value and does not hike up prices at popular times. The perfect base for a peaceful break at any time of year.
