A jar of home-made marmalade will be awarded the ultimate prize for a preserve – first place in the amateur category of the World’s Original Marmalade Awards, held at Dalemain House in the Lake District. The winner will have the further honour of being stocked by Fortnum & Mason, a staunch supporter and sponsor of the awards.
