for Halsway Open Day as your favourite British event.

A National residential centre for Traditional folk music, dance and song (including singing games) 1st weekend in July every year we have the marvellous Halsway Open Day where people not only come from miles around but can stay in this wonderful old manor house. This grade 2* listed building is part 1875 (the new bit!) and part 1625. It is very difficult to discover where the two halves join. There is a huge maypole in the lovely grounds. we have many craft stalls, entertainment, displays from visiting dance teams, Morris and sword dancing, folk music. Plenty of fresh food served from the manor kitchen, cream teas, lunches and drinks. Tours of the Manor, visits to the unique MGM library. A superb day our for all the family. Situated nestling into the southern slopes of the Quantock Hills (AONB), near Crowcombe on the A358 between Williton and Taunton. Signed with a brown tourist signpost. Open from 11 am till 4pm.
