Born 1945 - English historian and broadcaster.
Studied at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge. Lecturer at Cambridge and London School of Economics. Publications include The Reign of Henry VIII (1985) and Elizabeth (2000-01). Written and presented television series including Six Wives of Henry VIII.
